Looking for lessons to improve your own playing? From a beginner just needing help or a more advanced adult wanting to push your playing to a higher level, Julie is a highly experience teacher who has taught adults of all levels for many years.
Adults require a bespoke teaching plan to ensure their individual needs are met. Standard methods are usually aimed at the child learner and this rarely matches the requirements of an adult learner.
At a first lesson a discussion happens to ensure the aims, issues and experiences and fully understood. A bespoke teaching plan is then created. Lessons can be one-off lessons, occasional or more regular depending on the individual needs. Lessons for adults are 1.5 hours as this allows plenty of things to be covered in the lessons.
All elements of music are covered as required including instrumental technique, repertoire, music theory, performance skills etc.
Lessons take place in Crystal Palace or Peterborough (selected times of the year) but can also be followed up or continued with online lessons.
